To collect the number of comments users posted to a website page, the Custom Metric feature should be used.
Custom Metrics can be created to collect interactions that are expressed quantitatively using numbers like the number of comments posted on a webpage, the number of email signup clicks.
Custom Metrics can be created in the following way.
You have to first click on Account and then under PROPERTY, you will find Custom Definitions. Inside Custom Definitions, you will find Custom Metrics. After clicking on Custom Metrics, you have to enter a name and select the Scope and Formatting type. If you are tracking the number of user comments then select Scope as Hit and Formatting Type as Integer. After that, check the Active box and click on Create.
