Rubeus Hagrid Origins Explained
The tendency continues through the entire series; in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, we see Hagrid revealing that he has overheard a conversation between Dumbledore and Snape. Emotionally, Hagrid seems quite immature, for all that he is apparently about 60 years old.
