(A) A filter that filters out all data
(B) Not sharing the Custom report with users in the same view
(C) Dimensions and metrics of different scopes
(D) Too many dimensions applied to the Custom report
You can prevent data from appearing in a custom report using two ways.
(1) Create a filter and use the ‘exclude’ parameter and use value as ‘all data’. This filter will filter out all data from the custom report.
(2) If you use different scopes for dimensions and metrics. For example – If you use the “Source” scope level for dimensions and the “User” scope level for metrics then there will be a mismatch in the data and it would prevent data from appearing in the Custom Report.
